One last time.
I found a pretty good article called A 10-Step Guide to Surviving -- and Fighting -- Bush's America. I don't agree with all of her points - I think she's far too optimistic - but it's a good, positive article. Some of the things she recommends I was already doing, and I'll be doing some of the others, too.
Personally, if I believed that there really was a viable Democratic party any more, I'd say they'd be smart to abandon the current primary system and go for a nation-wide primary on a single day. I don't know the mechanisms of primaries, and in any case I doubt that the government would allow any such thing, but if we did still live in a democracy, it would have been a damned good idea.
