Jack Chick trapped in Dark Dungeons
This was originally a comment follow-up to my last post, but it should really have been a post.
The Dark Dungeons parodies linkpage I posted has mostly broken links. Here are some good ones:
I wonder how long it will be before all these links are broken?
The Dark Dungeons parodies linkpage I posted has mostly broken links. Here are some good ones:
- http://www.fecundity.com/darkdung/ - an unauthorized MSTing of "Dark Dungeons"
- http://www.humpin.org/mst3kdd/ - same as above, slightly different format
- http://rpglibrary.blackgate.net/inspiration/darkdungeons/intro.html - a much fancier version of the same thing. Warning, it plays music.
- http://www.falconmoor.com/humor/darkdungeons1.html - Dark Dungeons of Falconmoor. Different, and pretty strange. Lots of in-jokes, I think.
- http://webpages.charter.net/gos_jim/darkdungeons/index.htm - Funny, and more gamer humor, if you know what I mean. It plays a quick mp3 of some weird voice when you first click on it, but it's quiet after that.
- http://www.epsilonminus.com/darquedungeon/ - Goth and LiveJournal (!) are featured (okay, skewered) in this one.
- http://www.geocities.com/xiansamongus/dd_index.html - Vorpal Justice. A bit odd, but funny. Those Yahoo/GeoCities ads are really annoying, but it's still worth reading (the site, not the ads). Another Chick parody on the same site, Endless Summer, made me laugh hard enough to bring tears to my eyes. Some might find it pretty tasteless, but then, the same might be said for a lot of these.
- http://www.geocities.com/tribhis/cthulhutract.html - Okay, this one isn't Dark Dungeons - it's a Chick Cthulhu tract. And I think I posted this link before. But it's funny.
- http://delusion.smart.net/chyx/dorkdark.html - unfortunately this link is broken, because Chick successfully intimidated the author. "Dork Dungeons" was pretty funny, though, so here's a tip: put the URL into the Wayback machine and it's all still there. And when you find something funny that might disappear, what do you do? Save a copy, of course!
- http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0046/0046_01.asp - The original.
