almost no sleep for the past four nights

Sebastian has either thrown up or dry heaved every night

then he doesn't sleep

and won't let us sleep

he runs a fever every night

last night Teri took the bullet

she stayed in his room and let me have the second half of the night alone to sleep

Sebastian punched her constantly

wouldn't let her sleep this morning either

don't know how long we can keep going

Thanks to the problems with LJ this weekend I hadn't heard about this ongoing problem. Has he gotten a stomach flu or is it something worse?

After the coffee

Actually, I hadn't written about it before. I've been insanely busy at work, and at home I've been unable to get online much. Last night we went to sleep at 8:30, but Sebastian woke us up at 11 and was up for the rest of the night.

We're not sure what the problem is. He seems fine during the day, apart from a nasty cough. At night he has thrown up, or tried to, usually around midnight; then he's up for the rest of the night. He has also been running a temperature, only at night, of about 102.

A kid at his daycare got chicken pox about a week ago. Sebastian has had the vaccine, but the infected kid had had the vaccine, too; it's not 100% effective.

Right now we just don't know. It could be early stages of chicken pox; the symptoms are partially compatible. Or it could be one or another of the viruses that have been going around. I don't know.

But at 40 it's awfully hard to go five days with an average of 3-4 hours sleep per night.

It's so bad, I don't even want to play Diablo. I just go to sleep as soon as the boy does.

Hi Pete, this is from Rich Staats ( http://www.geocities.com/dr_games )

Sorry to hear about the little one, sounds dreadful. I recall the days of being up with Kathy, Beth & Ben and can appreciate how difficult it must be for you and Terri.

Hope you are doing better and looking forward to seeing you at Arisia.

Take care,

Rich
