They cooked me. They electrocuted me. And then they checked to see if I was pregnant. 
To be more specific, they put me on a heat pad with electro-stimulation - kind of a prickly feeling, but not intolerable. The heat, on the other hand, was actually pretty intense - almost unbearable. Next time I'll ask them to dial it down a little.
Then they used ultrasound to deep-heat the muscles, and massaged me. They also walked me through some exercises. I'll be going there twice a week for a month or two.
The pain is definitely a lot less.
