Sign Stupidity

Sign from the gas pumps in front of the Cumberland Farms near my house (I believe they're Gulf, maybe Citgo). Can you spot the error?

Klyfix here.

That particular error is extremely common these days, even though it's
something that even I can spot. Most likely due to a slavish reliance on
spell check in Word and whatever, I expect. It's one of the drawbacks of
a technologically advanced society; we develop machines that allow us to be
stupid. Note that in a recent power outage (I think in Memphis specifically,
but the same thing probably happened in the Big One) older employees at
stores ended up doing checkout because the kids weren't able to make change.

Maybe the answer to the Fermi Paradox is that when you get to a certain
level of tech you can no longer survive if it crashes from more than a short time. :)
