Desperate

Go to the church but the preacher he just preach at me
Go to the club but the women all ignore me
Want a relationship, I want to have a family
I'm schizophrenic, paranoid, tell me what is wrong with me

Desperate, I'm desperate why won't you hold me
Desperate, I'm desperate for the next moment
Desperate, I'm desperate I feel so lonely
Desperate, I'm desperate for the next moment

Go for a job but they don't like the look of me
They say "grow some hair, this is not 1970"
Want a Donna Reed but she think I'm too kinky
She don't like perverts, why ain't I a yuppy

-Copernicus, Desperate

That is a totally unavailable song by a maniac who calls himself Copernicus. I feel safe in saying that not one of you has ever heard of him, and you probably never will again. But it was a very good and funny song.

Basically, Copernicus is an insane drunk. He does long, rambling, insane drunken rants on his records, with a few surprisingly good songs in between. One of these days I'll have to buy one of his albums, since I'll never find one on WinMX.

Okay, I was just unfair to Copernicus. The insane drunk thing is almost certainly at least partly an act. And his rants are actually quite funny.

God, I'm bored.

(a wordless sound)

I am bored beyond the capacity of words to express.

I went to the internet for entertainment, and it has failed me.

This is hell.

I can't take this.

No matter what I think of doing, it bores the hell out of me.

Something's wrong.

Here. Here's a post I did recently on rec.games.frp.dnd about an interesting development in the Thursday D&D game. The 20th-level lich wizard we rescued (twice) has offered to make a magic item for each of us as a reward. I'm trying to figure out what the best option would be. I still haven't reached a decision, although there were 44 posts on that thread before it (apparently) went dormant.
