Yoga can indeed be a heavy workout, depending on the style (and Power Yoga, which is done in 90 temps can be downright exhausting or near impossible for some folks, like me).

A lot of it has to do with the breathing techniques, the breathe exercises which continue throughout the process actually burn calories all by themselves and help excellerate the heart rate at various times. Add in things like inversions and pole work and it can become a really strong workout.

I miss yoga, but the cost is debilitating around here, and you need to have the right instructor. Unfortunately most yoga is evening and weekends around here now, which makes it near impossible for me to get to since I have other responsibilities and the whole night blindness thing....
