My mind being such as it is I figured the name of the team should be the Buffalo Springfield. :)

Actually, I'm prety sure it was the Buffalo Bisons.

Hmm, that's kinda redundant, ain't it? :) The football team from that city is a little more creative, with the "Buffalo Bills." And if there were a woman's team they could be the "Buffalo Gals" (as in "won't you come out tonight"). How about the "Buffalo Wings"?

We may do a silly LJ post on sports team names, and band names.
