Sebastian has become a big fan of Frosty the Snowman - not from the TV special, I'm happy to say, but from the original book. He even sings the song, although for a while it sounded more like "Frosny the No-man". Even now he tends to peter out a little bit after "jolly, happy soul". But what can you expect of a two-year-old, after all?

We just finished putting up our Christmas decorations. They're a bit over-the-top for us, but what the heck. I took the photo this evening, and it was pretty dark, so it may require a little bit of explaining: there's an eight-foot-tall lighted inflatable Frosty with a broom sitting in our yard, threatening the neighbors with an icy rampage that fortunately never occurs. Along our front fence is a green plastic evergreen strand with large red bows placed here and there. Intertwined with the evergreen is a string of pretty white crystal lights. And a set of eight illuminated giant candy-canes - four per side - line our front walkway. Scary, isn't it?
