Arisia panels
I seem to be writing like mad today, which is silly because as far as I know three or four people are probably all that are reading this - if that many (hi, guys). I should go to sleep. Oh well.
I got a letter from the Arisia convention recently asking me to confirm that I'd like to be a panelist again. I've been one every year for seven or eight years at least, so of course the answer was yes.
All too often I've forgotten to send in my confirmation, and been left out of the program book as a result; this time I made sure to send it in on time.
They also asked for suggestions on panels, and here are some of the ones I sent in:
RPGs
Authors
Media
Computer/Electronic Games
If anyone wants to suggest some other topics, incidentally, please let me know - I could always send in some more.

RPGs
- Roleplaying From The Grave: Playing and supporting out-of-print roleplaying games
- RuneQuest RIP? The classic skill-based RPG is gone, but not forgotten
- The Plight of the Older Gamer - It was so easy in college. Nothing but time to kill and lots of other gamers on campus. But now that you've got a job and a family, is it possible to still be a roleplayer?
- I Gave You STORMBRINGER!? - how RPG campaigns become unbalanced and what GMs can do about it.
- Rippin' It Off - "sharing" plots from books and movies for your campaign
Authors
- Cordwainer Smith - There's been one every year, and it's always great, so why not again?
- Forgotten Greats #1: Fredric Brown - The innovative master of the short-short and author of several classic novels, as well an episode of classic Star Trek
- Forgotten Greats: our favorite Golden Age authors, who could write the pants off of these modern genre "writers"!
Media
- Introductory Fan Web Design - A seminar on setting up a website about your favorite topic
- Why TV Sucks: how innovative shows get cancelled while formulaic ones live long and prosper
Computer/Electronic Games
- Kill That Player! Pking for fun and profit
- Diablo, Everyone's Favorite Fiend - games we play with the Big Red Fella, and what we'd like to see from him next
- The Golden Days of Classic Arcade - Why were the old arcade and console games so much more fun than modern games?
If anyone wants to suggest some other topics, incidentally, please let me know - I could always send in some more.
