Obama Wins Nobel Peace Prize for "Hope, Torture, Explosions"
Warning: politics inside. It's a letter I wrote to Salon.
While they're at it, why doesn't the Nobel committee award him all the gold medals at the 2012 Olympics, the Oscar for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay, and the Blue Ribbon for the best blueberry pie at the Washegaun County Fair? Hell, why don't they declare him Miss America as well?
They should award themselves a prize, too - for destroying the credibility of the Nobel Prize itself. What a sad, pathetic joke! The innocent children that have been maimed or killed by US bombs and bullets in the wars that he said he'd stop and is instead expanding can be proud, knowing that they've been butchered by a Nobel Prize laureate. And the many who've been tortured (including those tortured to death) can also be proud, knowing that their abuse is being covered up by the most honored enabler of torture in history!
