I'm A Mechanical Boy

I was born in 1964, which puts me at the very end of the baby boom. Pyschologically, however, I don't feel like part of that generation - I always felt closer to those born in the 1950's, as well as the 1930's and the Victorian era.

But some of the psychedelic qualities of children's TV in the late 1960's really soaked into my mind, not least of which were the works of Mssrs. Sidney & Martin Krofft. One bit that particularly resonated was "I'm A Mechanical Boy", from H.R. Pufnstuf, in which Jimmy was blasted by Witchiepoo and turned into, well, a mechanical boy obviously.

It's actually a really good song, and Jack Wild performed it really well (not surprising, he was quite talented).
