Try, try again
The democrats.org blog is pretty light; it seems to suffer from the usual failings of online liberal and progressive boards. That is, it's filled with a lot of irrelevent chatter, socializing, and as soon as a troll appears everything just goes to hell. It can be fun, and there are some nice people there, but it's certainly not a place to try to seriously discuss policy.
I was told by one or two regulars that it will settle down eventually, that things are extra chaotic because of the election...but I was also pointed to The Daily Kos as a good place to talk policy.
You see, I came up with what I think are some DAMN good ideas for the Democrats, and I'd really like to bounce them off some thoughtful and intelligent people.
So I signed up for the Kos. Right off the bat there was a good sign: there's a 24-hour waiting period before you can post a comment, and a seven-day waiting period before you can make a diary entry, whatever those are. So I waited 24 hours and made my first comment with some of my ideas this morning.
Haven't seen a response yet, but I'll doubtless be checking every few minutes.
