Halloween
Here's our Halloween, in three pictures.
If you look carefully, you'll see a last-minute addition to his costume: a phaser (from original Trek). I figured it would make him a kind of Firefly/Serenity character, although I've never seen either. I didn't have a gun to give him (and wouldn't have wanted to, even if I did), but the phaser seemed like an acceptable alternative.
We went to a friend's house to do our trick-or-treating in that neighborhood. It was lovely; a really nice place to trick or treat. Until some jackass who may have been physically over twenty but was mentally about 12 - and a mean twelve at that - jumped out at Sebastian from hiding, at a distance of about three feet. Wearing a very creepy-looking costume, things glued all over his face.
And so...
Sebastian's Halloween was basically ruined, after that. He spent the rest of the evening (most of it - the idiot had been at only the third house we went to) crying hysterically and begging to go home. He couldn't even approach several other houses, no matter how much Teri and I tried to soothe him. All he wanted was for me to hold him.
