Sick as a dog...

Got virtually no sleep last night. Looked at the clock every fifteen to twenty minutes and went downstairs to blow my nose. Caught snatches of sleep every now and again with the most bizarre dreams; very realistic and detailed. My dreams are so cool! And the interesting thing is that this was a sequential dream; the same dream continued every time I went back to sleep.

Teri and I were secret agents of some strange kind; we were needed somewhere quickly for a mission, so they put us in a hang-glider and launched us with a catapult. The catapult was like one of those amusement park Tunnel of Love rides; three sudden jerks, and we were launched out of a hole in a cliffside, hundreds of feet in the air.

I have no idea how to fly a hang glider. Neither does Teri. She’s also afraid of heights. So I tried playing with the controls, and then realized that I had no idea where we were supposed to go.

Nonetheless we made a successful landing near the FedEx corporate headquarters. I soon realized that that was just where we were supposed to be: enemy agents had taken over the entire building. They were everywhere. We moved in to take action, and I sneezed myself awake.

I'm going to get to Arisia late; Teri has an appointment in Providence, and Sebastian needs to be picked up from school this afternoon. So she's going to try to drive me to the 5:27 train, which should get me to the con sometime between 7PM and 7:30. I don't know if Registration or Programming will be open. We'll see.

I'm pretty goddamn sick (I'll be bringing tylenol, vitamin C drops, and saline), so I think I'll be sleeping at my parents' house tonight. I'll go pick up Sebastian early tomorrow morning, and he'll stay up in Brookline that night. Then Teri will come up Sunday morning.

I hope it all works out...and that I don't lose my voice. I feel horrible.

Best of luck on shaking the bug. Kiralee is also sick, but at the stage where her cold is slowly being flushed out of her sinuses, so we have hopes that she will be ok for her panels (all on Saturday).

Note that they are predicting snow on Saturday, so this, what will probably be my last Arisia, we get both the Deep Freeze (today) and the Arisia Blizzard combined. Sigh.

Kiralee will be heading off to the hotel after work, she's toting backpack and suitcase. Cindy is leaving work early, coming here, packing and then I'll be heading off with her to the convention.

(I'd go earlier, but the plumber is supposed to be here again today, and needs a check for some work permits from the city.)
