Crazy idea for a meme

I hate memes, so I suppose it was inevitable that I would eventually try to create one.

Here's my idea:

Take a close-up photo of a scar on your body, and post it on your journal. With it, post two explanations of how you got it: one a lie, the other the truth. Then let visitors guess which is true.

Wait, that sounds stupid even to me.

I've got to face it: I just don't get memes. I am officially Old. But I was always officially old, even when I was a kid, so things could be worse.

Hmm, maybe two explanations aren't enough?

I'm a little confused on what you mean by a "meme" here. I've understood a "meme" to be the intellectual rough equivalent of genes; in effect ideas that get passed around and mutated and so on. Most every concept or notion or idea is a meme.

I'm guessing you mean something a bit different?
