Jack Williamson, RIP
I just noticed that yet another of the old SF guard has fallen. Jack Williamson died on Friday at the age of 98.
I've read (and own) a number of his books, but I have to admit that I was never a huge fan, particularly; somehow his style never really impressed itself on my mind. He was good, no question, but he never became a person in my mind the way that Asimov, Brown, Linebarger, or Heinlein did.
Still, I'm sorry to see him go. There aren't many of the good old writers left...
