How many of the Top 10 do you know, and how many are "Who the heck are you?!" people?
Too much information
My friend
As for how I know the top ten, that's a good question. Hmm...of the top ten, four are real-world friends. Actually I could actually say five are, because I'd bet that the preponderance of anonymous posts are from one person, my friend who goes by the handle flight-of-stairs. She had an account here for a little while, but let it lapse; some day I hope to persuade her to get a new one, if only to be able to read my friends-only posts. Incidentally, on the whole list she's Sebastian's favorite, although he knows (and likes)
Hmm. I don't know how everyone in
I may have met
As for the rest...wait, come to think of it I've also been in the same room as
I met
So out of the top 29, I'd say that I don't really know 16 of them.
Hey. Do I do the most ridiculously long responses, or not?
Re: Too much information
The rest of my household can deal with kids, but not so well with babies... Kiralee avoids them as they may explode at any time, especially if anyone asks her to hold one. :-)
Cindy... I never know how Cindy will react to anything.
I'm ok with kids, as you know, though it depends on the kid. I get along fine with Kiralee's nephew, for example (he's a big doctor who fan, and is old enough to carry on conversations reasonably well etc.).
I did have some terrifying experiences a decade and a half ago with having to deal with a very hyperactive, somewhat destructive, sociopathic and rebellious five year old that convinced me I was not of the proper temperment for dealing with kids.
I think you met rantmaster via me at Arisia actually...
Re: Too much information
This may or may not be coupled with frenzied tugging on my hand or shirt. :D
Re: Too much information
I'm pretty sure I found your LJ via charibdis, an online friend of mine. I'm not sure why exactly I find your LJ so interesting (especially considering that my politics are so very opposite of yours) but for some reason I do.
I think it's because I like the way you write. Even when your writing makes my blood boil. :)

As for why I haven't been posting much, well, there are privacy issues that have reared their ugly heads. I don't mind the people who I have friended seeing my livejournal, but there are others I would really rather not divulge any personal details too.

And I hope that all your friends are responsible enough that they wouldn't discuss your posts online in insecure areas, particularly if you asked them not to.
Of course, given the way LiveJournal is, you might not be able to trust all of your friends to that extent; particularly the ones that you don't know IRL. But I believe that you could create sub-groups of friends, and write posts with reading privileges for those sub-groups only.
On the other hand, if we're talking about government secrets or something, friends-only would not be sufficient protection. The whole Dittoster thing (or whatever it was called) shows that untrustworthy friends can screw things up no matter HOW carefully you try to protect your privacy.
Still, it would be awfully nice to see more posts from you.
