Footsteps
Teri and Sebastian had fallen asleep, and I was downstairs making a late dinner. Suddenly I heard quick footsteps upstairs. I went up to see what was going on; Teri was asleep, but Sebastian was in his own bed (he'd been sleeping in ours before). When I walked in, I said softly "What are you doing, bunny boy?"
"Waiting for you to read to me," he said, seeming very awake and matter-of-fact. It was almost ten o'clock, way past his bedtime, but I figured I might as well read a bit.
I took out The Adventures of Phunsi and continued reading from where we'd left off. Fifteen minutes later, he was asleep.
