Today

Here's what's happening today:

In a little while we're going out to a birthday breakfast for Teri's brother. Then we're going to go to the supermarket to buy ground beef and fast-dissolving sugar, and then Wright's Dairy to buy a couple of cakes.

Fifteen to eighteen people are coming over today, and I'll be barbecueing hamburgers and hot dogs for them.

Wow. Busy day.

Sounds like you will be in your 'grilling heaven' this weekend. Hope it is all you expect and fun.

Thanks, it actually all worked out perfectly. One of these days you really need to come down for a barbecue at our place - and maybe we could even do some roleplaying, too!

"Fast-dissolving sugar"?

I forget exactly what it's called - possibly "very fine granulated" sugar. It's not as fine as confectioner's sugar, but the crystals are much smaller than ordinary sugar. That makes it dissolve more easily and quickly.

As it happens, the lemonade - made according to a recipe by that bitch, Martha Stewart - was WAY too strong. Which isn't surprising, since the ratio of lemon juice to water was 50/50.

I diluted mine with a lot more water, at which point it ended up needing more sugar. Not a great recipe, in my opinion, but almost everyone else enjoyed it.

The one thing I regretted about the weekend was that we couldn't have you and Jon down for some roleplaying as well. I hope we can do it soon. Say, what are you guys doing next week? It looks like I may have a lot of time free.

Actually, it's called "superfine" sugar.
