So today I climbed onto the roof for the first time and cleaned out the back gutters. Wasn't bad, although there were a LOT of decaying leaves in there. Climbing down was probably the hardest part.
I must say, before I got up there I was seriously worried that I would crash through the roof. But I didn't, obviously. You know, when I was a kid I spent a lot of time on the roof, alone and with my brother and father. We even jumped from the back roof to the roof of the stand-alone garage. It was lots of fun. And being up on the roof today brought it all back.
Although I AM extremely sore all over, and this evening I felt as if I were on fire. It almost feels as if I'm catching the flu. But that isn't possible now, right?
Tomorrow we're going to go to Haiastan Camp for a picnic - it's a big Armenian event with food, music, and dancing. It should be a lot of fun. I'll get as many pictures as I can.
