Blow, Joe

Joe Lieberman is warning Democrats not to commit the horrible crime of being left-wing - which these days just means not being insanely criminal and looting the government.

So Senator Joe can go screw himself. I'm a lifelong Democrat, and have voted pretty much the straight party ticket since I was 18, but if that sanctimonious hypocritical anti-First-Amendment Zoidberg-alike war-mongering censorship-craving insurance-industry-whore somehow manages to get the nomination, I'll know that the Democratic Party is no longer for me or the people and I will switch. And I'm not the only Democrat to say so.

Fortunately it's pretty damned unlikely, because Lieberman has all the personality and charm of an earwax-and-nose-drool casserole.

But...

I didn't mean that I'd switch to the Republicans, of course. Nor the Greens, probably.

Actually, if it came down to a choice between Joe Lieberman and Tyrant George, I'd be really thankful that I lived in a state where my vote didn't matter (Rhode Island). Because that way I can vote against both of those pricks without having to worry about pulling a Nader.

Now, if I lived in a state where Bush had a chance...I might have to seriously consider voting for Lieberman, although I'd just as soon vote for Hitler as that schmuck. Which is to say, not at all.

God that's depressing. Lieberman is a nitwit. Kucinich is a nitwit. Chances are, if Dean had spoken up, he would have proved himself a nitwit. Granted, I'd vote in just about anyone over Dubya, but it'd be nice to have a popular alternative who wasn't a nitwit.

Klyfix again...

I wouldn't worry about Lieberman. His "Let's beat the Republicans
by becoming Republicans" cry ain't going to go anywhere.
I'm more concerned that, well, might not matter if even
a good Demo wins. The House is GOP and is going to stay
that way barring something extreme and tax reform like
what we're going to need to avoid total financial collapes
has to start there. We are sooo screwed.....
