They Might Be Fun
Sebastian's a huge They Might Be Giants fan. So am I, of course.
So it was inevitable that he'd get some TMBG stuff for Christmas.
He already listened to a lot of their adult music. Of course, there's something about even their "adult" music that was always childlike, in the best sense of the word. But when I saw a while ago that they'd done an album for kids recently, I was interested.
But I didn't follow it up until shortly before Christmas. Then I found out that not only had they released an album for kids called No!, but also a DVD in conjunction with Disney (!) called Here Come the ABCs, and a combination book/CD called Bed Bed Bed.
We haven't given him Bed Bed Bed yet (we're waiting for a special occassion), but I I can tell you that No! and Here Come the ABCs are just as good as their albums for grown-ups.
But you don't have to take my word for it. No! is a computer-enhanced CD, and there's a promo for a few of the songs (with fun clickable animation) here. Give it a try! My favorite is "Robot Parade" (it's Sebastian's favorite, too).
