Weight

I weighed myself this morning. Then I weighed myself again, because I didn't believe it. But it came out exactly the same: 245.2.

I've been hovering around 263 for quite a while. I was 249.8 about a week ago. So...I'm pleased.

Basically I've been eating less. I'm not hungry in the mornings any more; I got out of the habit of eating until the afternoon. Then I'm sometimes having a snack, perhaps some sliced tomatoes with sea salt. The flavor is really intense.

I've also been using a fluoride mouthwash rinse when I get hungry to suppress my appetite and delay eating. I only use it once a day, of course, as instructed. My teeth seem to be doing better as a result, too.

And I'm walking more, and have done some light weightlifting.

The charts say the MOST I should weigh is 174 at my height and age. I believe that's bullshit. But if I make it under 200, I'm going to be very happy. And I'm betting my doctor is going to be happy, too!

The death rate for people who are just overweight is in fact lower than for those their ideal weight. They are more likely to die of heart disease, but less, of infection.
