Sick

I'm sick as an [insert the disgusting object or animal of your choice here].

Even stayed home today. Usually I feel guilty and nervous when I call in sick, but not today. God, I feel horrible. Tylenol Sinus is keeping me breathing, but that's it - the pain is still pretty severe, and I'm sneezing like crazy. Eight times in a row this morning! I've gone through boxes of tissues.

You know, I end up going in to work when I shouldn't, just because I can't judge when it's justified to take a sick day. Am I the only person to feel guilty when they stay home, no matter how sick they are?

Apologies for crashing this post with a tangent.... but has anyone else complained to you that your posts aren't showing up on their friends pages?

I've contacted LJ support but they haven't been overly helpful as of yet, so didn't know if anyone else had a similar problem.

No, nobody mentioned it! Jeeze, that would be ironic. Here I'm whining and bitching about never getting any comments, and it turns out that it's LJ's fault!

Well, it's nice that I can tell myself that, anyway. Thanks. :D

Damn. Just found the problem. I did a top-post dated 2010, and have been backdating all my entries since then (with the correct date).

Backdated entries don't appear on friends Friend pages. Who knew?

Ah, yes, you were checking "backdated". That's as misnamed as the "friends list".

What it really means is "using weird date, don't display on other users' friends pages". Weird date could be forward or backward, actually.
