Walking, singing

Last night Sebastian fell asleep in our bed. Teri was watching TV, and I was on the computer (been playing Diablo I lately). Around 11PM I heard Sebastian's voice. He was quite calmly walking from our bedroom down the hall to his room. As he walked, he was playing with his hair (something he does when he's very tired) and wordlessly singing his new favorite song, "This Old Man (Knick-Knack Paddywhack)".

He walked straight into his room, climbed up into his bed (I gave him a little help), lay down on his back in the very middle of the mattress, and as I put his two bears on each side of him he closed his eyes and was out like a light.

COOL! This morning Bethany got up so I brought her to bed and laid her across my chest and she went back to sleep breathing little baby breaths while I held her. Indescribable, indeed. She is still so small.

It's magical, isn't it? A big part of me wants to always have a baby in my life. One every three years would be about right. But Teri does not agree with me. :D

Of course, it helps that my parents and Teri's mother sometimes take the baby and give us some time off.

I'm glad to hear that Bethany is doing well. She's about one now, right? That's a wonderful age. You've got some great "firsts" coming up, though.

Maybe you can send a picture some time? Did I send you that photo of Sebastian?
