Don't kill me
The usual D&D geekery last night. I'll spare you the details.
But at one point it looked very much as if we were all going to die.
"That's okay," I said, "this'll give me a chance to work up a new character I've been thinking about. I'll be a transsexual monk named Charles, and you can call me Nun Chuck."
Okay, I have to admit that I was inspired by something I saw on Married With Children a long time ago. It was one of their funnier episodes, "We'll Follow The Sun", and at one point Peg was all excited about the new TV guide:
When I originally saw this, I went insane - don't ask me why - and started making up as many other Nun shows as I could imagine.
So here are some of the other characters I could have created:
Stop me.

Okay, I have to admit that I was inspired by something I saw on Married With Children a long time ago. It was one of their funnier episodes, "We'll Follow The Sun", and at one point Peg was all excited about the new TV guide:
"Will we be back by next Thursday, honey? [shows Al the TV Guide] Look: 'Nun of This', about a nun who's had enough. [reading out loud] Karen Valentine is Sister Lash, your worst nightmare - a nun with a gun!"
When I originally saw this, I went insane - don't ask me why - and started making up as many other Nun shows as I could imagine.
So here are some of the other characters I could have created:
- Nun So Blind - A blind female monk. Unfortunately D&D 3.5 penalizes blindness so heavily that she'd be virtually unplayable, even if I took the blind-fighting feat.
- Nun of the Above - A female monk from the mountains. Or, a dual-class female monk-cleric.
- Nun Shall Make You Afraid - A dual-class female monk/wizard who uses fear spells.
- Nun Shall Pass - A female monk with the Overrun feat. Or, alternatively, with diarrhea. Another option would be kidney stones.
Stop me.

With Malice Toward Nun - A fighter who hates female monks for some stupid reason.
Joshua, Son of Nun - a young bard, who thought he was the son of a female monk, but instead discovers that he's the clone - and yes, the spell exists in 3.5 - of a popular slain king. This one is for people who remember cheesy mainstream/sf crossover best-sellers from the 1970s.
Answer Came There Nun - I don't know what sort of character this could be. A female monk with the instruction skill, maybe? Is there an instruction skill in 3.5?
