Pat on the back

As I took Sebastian out of the shopping cart and prepared to put him into his car seat:

"Daddy, pat me on the back a little."

"A little?"

"A lot..." and as I continued to hold and pat him, "...all day."

yeah but years from now your wish he was that size again.. and yourll want to pat his back again

So far throughout the growing process I find myself missing the previous stages. Not that he isn't wonderful at his present size, it's just that he was SUCH a cute baby. That time went so quickly!

The funny thing is that lately he's been crying sometimes, and saying he wants to be three or even two years old again. I'm not sure why. He's not too upset, though. There's some weird 4-year-old logic behind it all.
