Just wanted to say "Happy Birthday" to the original Star Trek - which is still by far the best, as far as I'm concerned.

Incidentally, if there's anyone here who's interested but isn't subscribed to arisia, hotel registration for the con opened on Friday. Because the con will be in the Hyatt in Cambridge, which is a considerably smaller hotel than the Park Plaza, it's a good idea to get your reservation in as quickly as possible. Otherwise, you might end up having to stay at the secondary hotel and take a shuttle in to the con. And that would totally suck in January, believe me!

Arisia, for us, is probably not viable again this year as a household, and a hotel beyond our finances. We've been on tight money since January this year, post Vericon, and I doubt it will get better.

Having to walk from home (which is probably farther away than the secondary hotel, but not by much) beats not getting to the con at all. I won't have the money for a room.
