D&D: New Campaign

My D&D group started a new campaign last week. The old one hasn't ended, it's just temporarily on hold while one of the players runs this new campaign. It's 3.0, same as the other one.

This time I'm playing a paladin, starting at 5th level. Originally I named him "Deadly Do-right", but that was basically a joke. So now he's Manford Graehame.

It's interesting, but I think I play him better than I play the cleric. For some reason, some characters just work better for me; perhaps it's because a paladin by definition is going to have a more extreme personality. I don't know.

It certainly helps that the paladin is quite effective in battle. He's basically the front-line combat specialist of the group, although I've maxed out Diplomacy and Handle Animal as well. I'm playing him as almost inhumanly good (which is pretty much required for a paladin, don't you think?), but with a particular fondness for animals.
