At the zoo

At the zoo Sebastian at Roger Williams Zoo, 11/11/2006. This was early in our visit; later in the day he got cranky and difficult, demaning that I pick him up and carry him. He's getting too heavy for that, though.

Everyone who knows me and Teri says that he's starting to look more like Teri, these days. Oddly enough, though, lots of strangers who just see him and me out in public think it's the height of wit to call him my "mini-me".

Actually, now that I think of it I think they're complimenting me/B>.

You must be damn strong. Nathan is only 2 years and 3 months old, and I can pick him up and carry him for about 2 minutes before my arms give in.

Every time you post a picture of your son he reminds me so much of Nathan. Except the ginger hair.

Well, I am a male, after all. Testosterone has to be good for something!

The truth is, I really need to get back to the gym - not just to lose weight, but to increase my carrying capacity. Sebastian is getting so big that I have to worry about doing damage to myself if I carry him for very long. I'm actually sometimes letting him stay in our bed, if he crawls in late at night, rather than picking him up and taking him back.

Last night that meant I ended up going over and sleeping in his bed, since he was being so pushy in his sleep. And then he came back over at 4 AM and wanted to sleep with me there!

Only to wake me as usual at 5 AM with requests to play on the computer and then go to the bathroom, of course.
