Poopy Morning
Ruggles station is often disgusting.
For one thing, there's spit all over the floor. Ruggles is apparently one of the few remaining bastions of 19th-century spitting, and they desperately need spittoons - although please note, none of the spitters is using "chaw".
This morning, though, topped them all.
I was pretty sleepy because I'd been up late - so sleepy that I fell asleep on the train. I woke up with a start just as the conductor was announcing "Ruggles!".
I grabbed my bag and ran out of the train. Rather than climb the stairs, I queued up to take the elevator. When the door opened, though, everyone waiting let out a collective "EWWW!".
Several large turds had been left on the floor near the door. It must have been a big person, because they were the size of bananas. And someone must have stepped in one or two of them, smearing them liberally on the floor.
We all took the stairs.
