Google Blog Search Quirk

I was just trying to find the review I wrote here a few years ago of a Brian Herbert book. So I used Google's blog search, and it came up with nothing.

On a whim, I tried searching for the exact same phrase ("Beauty Goode") in Google's regular web search...and it came up with the correct journal entry!

That's just weird.

I have found problems with Google's blog search for some time... while the regular google web search is less likely to have the same problems.

I think more resources, spiders etc are being used for the regular web search than the blog search and the blog search doesn't go back and look at much before they started it, so older blog posts aren't logged at all.

That makes sense. I wonder when LJ is going to come out with that search function they promised?
