Sebastian Soccer Improvement
On Thursday, Sebastian was so bad at soccer practice that Teri and I decided to take him out of the program. He ignored the coach, spent all his time being silly and laughing, and just distracted the other players.
In the previous two games he'd never kicked the ball. Every time the ball came near him he shied away. He often sat down or lay down on the field. He was always the furthest away from the ball. And he distracted his teammates.
But this Saturday he was MUCH better. He kicked the ball once, but more importantly he paid attention - not constantly, but acceptably - and tried hard. We told him how proud we were, and got him a treat.
I think that maybe he was being so silly because he was just too excited to have other kids to play with...but now he's adjusting. I hope so.
