Still can't write, but here's a page about Dark Star which includes an MP3 of "Benson Arizona", which I'd been looking for for a long time. John Carpenter (the John Carpenter) wrote the music, by the way.

Carpenter does a fair amount of writing and performing music for his
movies; I recall he did the theme for "Big Trouble in Little China."

And of course there's the "Love Theme from 'The Thing'" uhh, okay,
not that one.... :)
