More stuff

Sebastian was very sleepy, but his temperature was going up again; it had been exactly four hours since his last dose of Motrin, so I gave him another dose.

Within seconds he jumped out of bed and puked all over the rug.

He'd had chicken soup for lunch, plain elbow macaroni for dinner, plenty of water and some gatorade (which I don't care for, but the doctor suggested it). He'd been fine, and hadn't mentioned any nausea.

Now we're pondering what to do. I'm inclined to wait a while, and then give him some Tylenol for the fever; it's easier on the stomach than Motrin.

You mentioned nausea earlier in the day. Throwing up for kids is not necessarily as serious as in adults. Their little bodies just seem to know when to get rid of things.

As for the meds, switching Tylenol and Motrin every 3 hours has always been recommended to me by doctors. I think it would be safe to give him some Tylenol. And the tepid bath people were recommended earlier by others would be a good way to clean him up.

I hope he gets better soon! If you need to talk, let me know. I am online or give me a call. My daughter has been sick a lot so I have had some experience.

I think the best thing would be to put a bucket around his neck. :)
