Another comment/poem that I posted over on the Washington Post in a response to a DLC-promoting opinion piece.

Our Chance to Capture the Center

(To the tune of "Hush, Little Baby")

Hush, little Democrats, don't say a word
The DLC will buy you a mockingbird
A "centerist" bird who's right of Gengis Khan
He's the king of morals, his name's Joe Lieberman.

Now don't you dare be leftist, Dems,
Or the DLC will call you partisans
And warn that you'll be voted out
if you don't follow the line they tout.

Just hush little Democrats, support that FISA bill
'Cause Bush won't abuse it (or do you think he will?)
Always vote the straight Republican line
And we'll be out of Iraq by 2099.

Not as good as some of the others I've done, I think, but I was writing quickly.
