LJ Banned!

My work now blocks all LiveJournal communities. When I tried to access the MBTA community, I got a warning message telling me that the site was forbidden, that my use was being monitored, and that I could be punished - terribly punished - for misuse of the internet.

And it's Halloween. SCARY! :D

Fucking idiots.

Hmm, and I saw a bit about how an industry group didn't consider studies that showed Europeans having better and cheaper Internet access were unfair because they didn't count folk having access at work and at college. Work access ain't personal access.

All things considered I'd expect LJ to require way less bandwidth than streaming video which I've certainly seen on occasion people accessing at work (not me of course; I'm a pathetic rules follower for the most part).

There's a world of solutions...
