I'm the "Askviller of the Day" over on Askville; kind of amusing that I'm the Halloween AOTD.

If you're looking for something to read, I think that this thread about atheist attitudes towards Christians is extremely interesting. You might want to read the five answers first - mine among them - and I'd really recommend reading all the way through the discussion thread if you feel tempted to take part in it yourself.

It's really not the typical atheist vs. Christian flamewar at all.

I kind of want to club Reaver and EternalOptimist over the head. A lot.

Reaver's the really nasty one. At one point I was really about to lose it when I was dealing with him. Then I had a total flash of inspiration, came back with a one-line response, and pretty much silenced him from that point on. It was awesome. :D

EternalOptimist has some serious problems, I think. I've received from private messages from other people in the chat telling me that they think he's in the Army, and is under a lot of stress. Certainly his behavior is very disturbing, which is why I eventually changed my approach.

He reminds me of a girl I knew long ago who belonged to a cult, and ended up sawing her tongue half-off with a steak knife because her boss told her that she'd been talking too much about her church at work. She was institutionalized for quite a while after that.
