Screwing the vets - again

Here's something very interesting that was sent to me by the still-not-yet-blogging Klyfix. Apparently soldiers are being tested for drugs in the US, and then sent for a full tour of duty in Iraq. Then, after they've finished their in Iraq and are sent home some have been told that they had failed the drug test and are therefore being given a dishonorable discharge - thereby saving the Army the cost of their pensions and health care! Maybe that money will take a thousandth of a percentage point off of Bush's incredible tide of red ink. Or perhaps it will be added to the tax cut for his billionaire cronies/contributors.

Bush junta at it again

Nowadays nothing Republicans do surprises me anymore. A thought came to my brain: Has anyone noticed the similarity of Star wars saga with the development of Bush empire? Star wars is basicly a story of a bad guy, who takes over the republic and turns it piece by piece into corrupted evil empire. He uses a conflict with a violent faction as an excuse to turn the republic into a police state where the rich people form the top class of social structure and the rest of the people are ruled with fear. Maybe after a couple of more years of Bush rule and the national anthym gets replaced with imperial march and the soldiers get new white plastic uniforms.
