The Gospel of Supply-Side Jesus came out last year. Why didn't anyone let me know?

Al Franken is sooo damn funny...and I love the illustrations. For some reason they remind me of National Lampoon's Son O' God comic.

Well, huh. Kinda visually illustrates something I've suggested (and that,
more or less, your old buddy Ragnar said); the conservative politics of Reagan
and his successors is pretty much the opposite of the basics of Christian
teaching. Which of course makes one wonder why so many Christian folk embrace
the Republicans nowadays; well, not so much wonder since it's clear that
these folk have been incredibly manipulated.

I'm reminded of a bit I saw, I think in Talking Points Memo, about how
Bush's advisor Karl Rove was actually under investigation during Watergate,
when he was but a wee lad (sort of). There's a long history of amoral
manipulation and corruption here.
