Sebastian's gift

Teri's mother picked him up from school this afternoon. When she brought him home, he tried to hide something from me; I could see his eyes sparkling as he hugged Teri.

Then he came toward me and said, in the most grown-up style imaginable, "Happy birthday, Dad." And he handed me a small wrapped package.

I opened it. It was a Nestle Crunch bar.

This is the best birthday I've ever had.

The cutest thing about it was that it was the day AFTER my birthday. He seems to want to spend several days celebrating it.

in our family, Birthday has become Birthday Week. we end up having lots of little celebrations.seeing all the different friends and family. i love it. heck, i just love celebrating.
