New Mouse

I picked up a cheap new mouse, and it's working fine.

Since everyone thinks that I should get the better CPU and the better video card...I'm considering blowing a little extra and doing just that. I don't know what the economy is going to look like over the next five years - probably not good - and this new computer may have to last me for quite a while. Certainly my current computer isn't going to last much longer, even with a new mouse!

Edit: I almost forgot: it turns out that since I live in Rhode Island, I won't have to pay sales tax on the system! Despite the fact that I live less than 25 miles away from their repair facility.

I'll buy your old system from you.

Give me some time - once I get the new system (assuming I work up the nerve) I'll have to transfer all my old data from the hard drives to the new system. And that's going to be a slow, slow process.

Umm... there might be issues hardwarewise. The new HD is SATA I think? and the old one IDE/PATA. I think your new board will have both types of connectors so you can slave the old drive, but don't remember.

It'd be cool to have it in the new system sorta as a storage/backup drive.

Also, I'll be out that way this Sept as our Co. is closing it's doors in Aug, giving me some desperately needed vacation time.
