Gmail spam

Has anyone else noticed that the amount of spam coming through on Gmail has increased enormously over the past week? I've gotten over a dozen spams in just the past two days - that's more than I'd received in the past six months!

Yahoo is the same way. Apparently some company yelled loudly enough and they reset everyones filter causing us to re-train ours.

The more stuff you sign up for, the more your information is sold. Be cautious of where you're signing up.

My gmail hasn't had any issues with spam aside from amazon and paypal

Actually, I've had some stuff that should have gotten through filtered out in the last few months :-/

I've seen a small increase in the Russian Language spam but not anything else.... I suspect that's courtesy of the Russian side of LJ users who want to sell me stuff like breast enhancers, bargain brides, and ladies looking for 'American friends'.
