The Blue Food!
Last night Sebastian asked me to go get him a blue frozen drink from Cumberland Farms. We'd sort of promised him that we'd do that eventually, so I did. I tried it myself, and it was disgusting - foamy and carbonated and full of sugar. And bright, bright blue.
Well, shortly before 11 PM he started coughing and threw up violently. I was downstairs at the time, but Teri managed to get to him and catch everything in a bucket - thank goodness! He was miserable, so we cleaned him up and got him to sleep a second time.
But here's the thing: he hadn't seemed at all sick before bed. He wasn't running a fever or anything like that. So this explosion was completely out of the blue (so to speak). And that's what I'm suspecting, because I remember that there was some bright blue medicine that always used to make Sebastian throw up, every time he took it. I ended up pouring the whole bottle down the sink. I could be wrong, but I think there's something about blue food dye - or perhaps, one particular blue food dye - that doesn't agree with him.
