The New Rules

So far the new rules I've made for myself are working, and to my amazement, I've been able to stick to them pretty well.

Rule #1: No eating after 8 PM. Not only have I been able to keep this one, I've also been eating considerably less then I was - for example, I'm having little or no dessert most days.

I find that if I think about it, I realize that I'm full (even uncomfortably full) by the time I've eaten no more than half as much as I used to eat. I still feel "hungry", but it's purely a psychological hunger. My body is often actually feeling almost overfull at the same time. It's odd to feel simultaneously full and hungry, I must say.

Rule #2: In bed by 10:45 PM. This allows me a full seven hours in bed. I don't always sleep, and last night I kept getting up because new verses were coming to me, but I'm feeling more rested and generally better.

I hope I can keep this going!

#1... Much more useful if you don't eat after 6PM. (Water and unsweetened drinks are fine.) Especially if you are in bed by 11. Unless you are exercizing during that time. If you are sitting at the computer or sitting watching TV or reading, you aren't burning many calories. I lost 15 pounds following this rule and not editing what I ate otherwise.

Unfortunately I don't get home until around 6pm.
