An unsurprising non-evolution
Askville just quietly announced that Questville, which they've been promising was coming for nearly two years, is "indefinitely postponed". I'm not particularly surprised, but I have to admit that I hate being lied to. On the other hand, I'd already reached the conclusion that Askville management really, really sucks - they're some of the worst website managers I've ever seen in my life. I'd been tapering off my activity on that site pretty steeply, particularly as far as officially answering questions and getting "quest gold" goes.
Of course, now that Questville is vaporware, quest gold is pretty much useless - and that kills off the one major innovation that Askville had. It also, effectively, makes their "currency" valueless!
