Sebastian and the Hockey Game

On Sunday we went to see the Providence Bruins play the Springfield Flyers at the Dunkin Donuts Center (in Providence). It was a Cub Scout event. Teri couldn't come, because she was at the Christmas party for her work.

It was actually pretty fun. Sebastian didn't pay that much attention to the game, but he enjoyed screaming his lungs out for the Bruins. Here's a photo; unfortunately it's the only one I have, because I forgot the regular camera at home.



There was a fight that shocked him a bit, I think. And every time there was a goal and that horn blared, he covered his ears; he shouted "I'm going deaf!".

The Bruins won, 5-1.

He looks like he is having a grand time. He is right about the age I was when my Dad started taking me to sporting events. We would go and watch the Boston Bruins and the Red Sox, back when nobody did, and I am still close to my Dad because of it.

There is some movie some where, I forget the name. Where I character mentions that when ever he and his father were mad at each other about anything, they always had baseball. And, that's my Dad and I. We don't agree on much, but we do agree that Little should have never let Pedro pitch the 8th inning.

That's sweet about you and your Dad!

My father and I aren't sports guys. But oddly enough, when I was Sebastian's age my Dad took ME to a hockey game - it was a Cub Scout event. I wonder if the Cub Scouts are all that's keeping minor league hockey in the black? :D
