Fighting Sleep
We've set 8pm as Sebastian's bedtime. It's working out well, much better than I expected, but sometimes he does fight it. Last night, for example:
"I'm falling!" as he did his best to topple head-first out of his crib. When I gently pushed him back in he looked up at me appealingly, held up his arms to me and cried imploringly "Hold me, Daddy!". I hugged him, of course, and he promptly clutched at me with a toddler death-grip and tried to climb out of the crib, straight up me.
By the time he went to sleep I was asleep myself on the floor beside the crib. Woke up from sheer discomfort at 10:15pm and went to bed. Fortunately he's usually much more willing to go to sleep - or has less energy, anyway. :D
