From what I understand, brains have unspeakably high cholesterol; I saw a bit on the original david Letterman show feturing a can of brains and noting that it hade 1000% of it you should have in a day (yes, that really is 1000% and not me typing).

People in the Ohio River area eat brains in or with scrambled eggs.

Most scary food thing maybe I've seen on TV was a still beating frog heart...

Reminds me of Goya Corn Smut. Not that is what THEY call it, but that's essentially what it is. They love it in Mexico, apparently.
